Regulations EC261 / UK261
Volotea is a Spanish low-cost airline. As Volotea is an airline registered in the EU, it has to comply with European laws and regulations when it comes to air passenger rights. There are two regulations that apply to most Volotea flights — the EU Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 and the Regulation UK261. If your Volotea flight is delayed, cancelled or overbooked, you might be entitled to EU or UK flight compensation. Don’t forget to file a claim!
EU and UK air passenger rights laws are practically identical.

For example, shortage of staff and technical faults are considered to be the airline’s fault (you can get compensation from Volotea).
